Episode Review: 7x01 - Truth and Consequences

Sep 29, 2009 11:20

There are many things I should be doing right now, including writing up my learning journal from last week's uni class, and also general work, seeing as how I am in the office and all.

But, NCIS is on in America tonight, and I really should put down some thoughts about the premiere of a week ago because otherwise I'll get all wrapped up in the ( Read more... )

I've given up on feeling guilty, though I watch for both Tony and Gibbs and kind of ignore everyone else a little. Not too much, but a little. But you're right, MW is awesome as Tony even in the background of scenes! It's the little things, but they're fantastic.

I've never really disliked Ziva, either, except I was getting frustrated with her at the end of S6. That said, I do generally like their interactions and their flirting (I loved them in Cloak/Dagger! Well, mostly I loved Tony, but Ziva was good, too). But I think I'd have to agree with you - if it has to happen I don't want to see it onscreen. And, like I said, I'm against it happening because I don't think it would be realistic.

As for the reasons for Tony/Gibbs...I'm sure mine would take up several comments, too. But god yes they're hot and amazing and make me giggle like a little girl.

I haven't seen Reunion yet, though I taped it (hopefully will be able to watch it tonight!), but now I'm super-excited to see more MW!

And yes, I've been having trouble with Tony and the vengeance thing, too, though not for the reasons you are. I've always found Tony to be one of the "quiet ones" they say you have to worry about - when they blow, they blow big. I see Tony as someone who can get very, very angry, but that it takes a lot to get him there, and otherwise he'd be very mild-mannered and much more willing to avoid an angry situation. I'm kind of like that, it takes a lot to get me really angry, but when I do it's not pretty (and then I cry hysterically, but that's neither here nor there).
If you think about it, in Cloak/Dagger when he yelled at Gibbs, it took a lot to get him there and he was angry. Plus, he says so himself that he's angry in Frame Up.
But yes, if you do undertake the really difficult, painful, and arduous chore of watching Tony over and over again, well, I feel your eventual pain (and am really jealous!) ;D

I totally do the same thing. It's partly for shallow reasons, but they're also very interesting characters!

I loved Cloak/Dagger! But I think my favourite Tony/Ziva moment is actually right at the start of Boxed In when Ziva holds her hand up to stop Tony, and he stills instantly but was gesticulating, so they end up kind of holding hands, frozen in place, and it's all very semi-professional but semi-OMG, we're holding hands! I love that moment.

Oooh, I hope you enjoy it! I really did!

Back I go to mooning slaving over Tony-gazing. ;-)
