I just had this epiphany. Shannon found this really small "abandoned" turtle shell a few weeks ago and we're both really attached to it. It's JUST a shell. It's JUST a skeleton. I've come across a bazillion dead animals and their remnants in my life and never thought twice about them, but this sad little shell (pictured a few entries ago) really pulled our heart strings. Maybe because it was so tiny, maybe because it's a red ear slider like the three turtles we currently keep as pets, or maybe...

MAYBE IT'S THE DEAD BABY TURTLE I BURIED A YEAR AGO.

Needless to say, it IS the dead baby red ear that I buried. We bought two babies and one just didn't make it. Shannon was extremely upset about the death of his "little guy" that I had to bury it by myself in a shallow grave along our fence where the koi (still very upset about them), ugly goldfish and pigeon are buried. The poor little guy was so.. so little, and when he dyed we were both moved to tears (I know it's a turtle, shut up), but here he is again, in our house.

So, where can I get a paperweight made with our little traveler in it?
