Hello!!!!
I:ve been trying to send a group email for like 2 days, but it just won:t send, have no idea what is wrong, but will try again from internet cafe later (though is really realyl expensive, i quess i:m just not used to paying more than US$1 per hour!!! like really, how could they charge more than taht anyway?)
this country is crazy!!! like fully!!! i mean its mad fun, and i really really love it here (the food is beyond good, i like those....takoya..ummm..those octopus ball things, you know what i mean ben) but i never have any idea what i:m doing at all. like just now, just a second ago, i acciedently bumped a panic button in my room, it:s this crazy red and white button that looks like a light switch but actually sets off the alarm system, so i was just stretching, and suddenly there:s this beeping and a japaneses womans voice ringing through the room!!! and i was like bill murray from lost in translation (that scene with the tredmill, the one you love jane) just standing there going `shut up!! uhhh....please stop!!` trying desperately to figure out if i should push the button again to make it stop, or pull on the crazy looking red ball attached to the switch by string. it all worked out in the end, but i woke up my host mother mrs tabuchi, and she came out in her pajamas, man do i feel bad!!!
thats just one of a whole bunch of incidents that i:ve managed to do, like figuring out the toilet was crazy!! there:s a butt warmer built into them! its crazy(but surprisingly good). and then once i figured out how to flush it, like the flush sets off this tap in a basin ontop of the toilet, and i couldn:t for the life of me figure out how to stop it, like i had nooooo idea! there are all these buttoんs c。。。。。
see! even having trouble with keyboard!!
anyway there are all these buttons for the built in bidet, and bottons saying on/off, but like on/off what?! no idea at al!! for some reason i thought vietnam and cambodia would be harder than japan, just culture shock wise, but no, japan is far crazier. not sure if thats cause i:m by myself and theres no bronnie or tour to help me (but you:d think staying with a family would fix taht), or if its so crazy cause in some ways its so like home, but in other ways its nothing like home at all!! like i thought squat toilets would be harder to figure out than toilets in japan, but no the toilets here are much crazier!!
shoudl probably go sleep, have been getting up late and probably shoudl get up early tm, mrs tabuchi is takng me to Kobe, very very exciting!!
bye!
