are you serious?

G- if you are reading this, I guarentee it will not be as funny as it was on the phone at the time but regardless, I have to share.

I can not find my way out of a paper bag. Yes, people have told me this but I have finally come to realize, They Are Right.
Last night, D put the kids to bed and let me go out for my somewhat monthly chat w/ Kel. I actually left a few minutes early, like 8:20 when I said I'd be there 8:30-9 and figured it'd be rushing out the door at 10 till 9. So when I turned on Bach Buxton and saw the Road closed ahead sign, I simply circled back through Krogers and onto Beechmont figuring I'd go to Gleneste Withamsville rd and over to Applebees. Then I saw the Detour sign. Thinking I had a few extra minutes, I followed the detour and turned on Mcmann rd. Now you only go a short distance and then have to go right or left. Being that there was no indication of which way the detour was, I went left. And promptly, happily, saw the next detour sign arrow aiming the direction I was going, indicating Ferris Rd. Ah Yes I think, I 'know' Ferris rd. and kept driving. The next sign I see, not that far mind you, tells me to go back the way I just came. Well that's confusing. so I keep driving. And come upon Clough! Oh happy day, I Knew I'd find my way. so I turn on Clough and drive. Of course I don't have my glasses on and can't see far away especially in the dark so I slow up when I come to a stop light to see where exactly I am. As I drive through the light I read "Amelia Olive Branch". Now how did That happen? B/c for those not following my path with me, coming from my house, I could have turned on AOB to get to 32 but I passed it instead aiming for Bach Buxton (which was closed). So I turn around on Clough thinking, ok, all is not lost, I can still take AOB to 32 and get to Applebees on time. As I drive I start noticing things are on the wrong side of the road. Judd Rd is on my left, shouldn't it be on the right? and that little store w/ the Cola sign out front, it should be on my right as well. When I hit the intersection at Lucy Run, it's firm in my head that yes, I Am going the wrong way. and so, about 2 minutes later, I hit Beechmont Ave. I turn right and head towards Gleneste Withamsville once again.

Needless to say, I was late.
