sad

I start back at work 2 weeks from tomorrow. I'm a bit sad that this time has gone so quickly. I'm a bit anxious to start working again. I'm looking forward to the new routine and getting into that routine, how things are going to work. But I'm dreading the missed time w/ my kids. Knowing I have no vacation time off from Sept 19 till Liz's wedding then none till Christmas. I'm liable to need to take some mental health days off to cope. Is there anything wrong w/ that? I love my kids dearly and hate all the time away from them, it's so hard to balance it all- work, family, friends, marriage, self.

I need to win the lottery. Does anyone else ever fantasize about that? I do, not that I play the lottery but I dream about winning it. I'd be able to get a slower paced job, keep the kids in school for 2 or 3 days a week, hire someone to do my laundry, my dishes, plan menus and have them shop for me so I have time to cook it. that would be so nice. I'd love to have a house full of kids. Maybe not all genetically mine b/c I'm looking forward to having my body back as my own but if we could afford more, I'd like more. I just doubt it's going to happen b/c we've become accustomed to a certain lifestyle and it's tough to give that up. D is especially anxious about financially supporting more. i'm going to bed before I really get started typing on a rant about kids :)
