a crazy weekend

Hopefully you all made it through the holiday weekend w/out any arrests or accidents. Ours was chalk full of activity. Friday night D and I went to dinner at The One Restaurant in Mason (onedining.com). Oh my god it was a food-gasm. I found the place online and they had Ahi Tuna Tartar on the appetizer menu which I've been looking for a local place that serves it ever since D has become addicted to Top Chef and they make it about every episode. So we went to a nice dinner to celebrate our 7th anniversary next weekend since we have other things :) going on then. Side note- can't believe it's been 7 years already- time sure flies. and speaking of, we are tentatively talking about going somewhere to renew our vows for our 10th anniversary and I'd really like you all to come with us (I want a do-over w/ you Ladies as my 'bridesmaids')... so any suggestions on the place?
Back to The One- the appetizer plate was amazing- we got the 'sampler'- Tuna tartar, a crab cake, pear pizza and ravioli. They were each absolutely perfect, I haven't eaten true gourmet food before but when the waiter tells you what each is and the description is a minute long, you know that's food that took some thought in the preparation. D and I both had steaks ( I Love Meat, hehehe) and dessert and it was all fantastic. we even had adult conversation and didn't talk about the kids! THAT was amazing.
Afterwards we went to Steve's to draft for Fantasy football - My team's not bad. My first matchup is against the only other chick in the league so the guys will no doubt enjoy our smack talk ;o
We got home so late w/ the kids but they were great, fell back asleep after we picked them up from the in-laws and drove home. Sean said they were a bit overwelmed babysitting 2 of them.
Saturday we ended up going to the pool w/ G-ma and G-pa. Sebastian had a Great time and he's becoming such a little fish that I'm going to be sad to see summer end. I'm looking into swim lessons at the Y to keep him loving the water over the winter.
Sunday we had to go to D's family party which was fun but I was sad to miss the baby shower for Jas. Molly, one of the quads/cousins, was such a sweet little girl and she played w/ my boy all day. He loved her, followed her around, kept yelling "Girl!" "Where'd the Girl go?" so cute.
and today, we went boating w/ my whole fam and celebrated Brad's B-day (Happy B-day again Brother!). Again, had a great time.
ate junk food all weekend, Sebastian's naps and sleep schedule are all outta wack, the house is a disaster from coming and going and packing up and unpacking to packing to leave again. I've gotten nothing done except for this journaling and my lovely shower. but the house will still be messy in the morning. and D was a Darling and cleaned up the kitchen.
and tomorrow we are back to the real world. am hoping to have a good day w/ the Girl and get some things taken care of around here as well.

Oh and speaking of my little angel- she's rolled over from her back to her tummy twice now! she's cooing and smiling and lifting her head up so well it's just amazing how aware she is of everything. I can't believe how much she's changing every day. I almost miss my Baby already! she's getting so big! and she's so awake during the day, she only cat naps a few times for maybe an hour and is then awake for the next 3 hours. she talks and plays and watches everything. she's just beautiful :)
