So, today at work, I was just hanging bikinis back up on hangers and things, and just being the fitting room girl in general. And this woman, who has like 932014 one pieces, and looks a little younger than out parents asks my opnion on one. So I give it, I sort of like it when the customers ask what I'm thinking, it makes me feel a little less like a Macys droid or something.
Anyways she is having a lot of trouble finding a bathing suit, and so I go out and get her more. By this time she's been in there like half an hour and I've gone out and gotten her size in a lot of the swimsuits she had, that didn't fit.
So anyways, after a while she finds two out of the ones I brought her and she's just exicted in general. So she leaves the dressing room, presses a five dollar bill into my hand and says thank you so much! and heads to the register.
So I'm like, whoah and standing there stunned and my co worker says "take it" before the manager can see, so I stuff in into my bra and keep working. And then this sales associate, the one ringing up the lady who gave me the money comes up to me and asks me my name and writes it down on the recepit. She says "That lady you helped is so grateful she's going to go online and write a review saying you were one of the best and most helpful salesgirls ever." I was like. whoah. again.
So basically I just had to write my amazement at that little scene that happened today. It sort of made me feel like whoah, I just actually helped someone and like, they really liked my help. And I don't know I just realized it, getting the money and the name thing and I was like. Wow. I think I'm going to work retail next summer, too.
