I just wanted to share a funny thing that happened to me this weekend. I went into an audition on Friday perfectly primped and ready and confident. I nailed my singing audition but they didn't want to hear anything else. Hmmm..."Ok..." I thought "I'm gonna go to the dance call tomorrow and hopefully if I do well they might ask me to read" I mean, it was tap and ballet. No crazy hip hop or jazz, so how hard could it REALLY be?
WELL...my sweet little brother checked the time of the girls' dance call for Julie and I last night, and on the website it said 'Noon.' So HE went to the guys' call this morning at ten and felt he did pretty well, so I was not too worried as Julie and I drove up to Screenland.
AHEM...
We get there only to realize that the call started at 11:30. Instead of being ten minutes early, we were TWENTY MINUTES LATE. And not only that, but the simple combination that Sean got to do (which Julie taught us cause it's in the curriculum here at the school,)was replaced by a pretty tough combination, which we now had exactly 5 minutes to try and pick up.
Let's just say that sometimes you have to fall on your ass. It was worth the laugh and we DEFINITELY got cut. You live, you learn. I guess I won't be doing any 'Broadway in the Desert' this summer. Bummer. =0p
