So, I have managed to get my hands (finally!) on a copy of James Rollins' Deep Fathom. This is extremely good news, as I have every other book he's written (except the Indiana Jones one, but I saw the movie anyways). The Last Oracle, The Judas Strain, Black Order, Map of Bones, Sandstorm, Ice Hunt, Subterranean, Excavation and Amazonia. And I pretty much got them in order as they came out, too, except for Amazonia and Excavation. I got Excavation at a yard sale when I was...ten, I think? Maybe twelve. Got it for about five cents, too. Anyways, this book was full of swearing and fighting and ancient myths and treasures and cruel religious orders and ALIENS and all sorts of good stuff, and I pretty much ate it up. A year or so later, I found Amazonia, snapped it up, and from there proceeded to follow his publishing order.
Except for Deep Fathom. I never found a copy of it ANYWHERE until last night. YAY. I'm so glad I did, too. Now I have them all, and I can always get the Indiana Jones one when it comes out in paperback. I don't have the money for a hardback book!
Although, speaking of hardbacks... I GOT HAVEMERCY. SQUEE.
Okay, so maybe I do have money for a hardback book. ;P But only the good ones. And from what I've heard form several sources, HaveMercy (or is it Havemercy?) is so very worth it. Also, I mean, metal dragons? GIMME. I'm only about two or so chapters in (yes, I'm reading it slow, shush) but OMG I'M SO IN LOVE. Akjshdfljksdfg - descends into fangirl squealing- Only two chapters and I'm already insane about it.
(iambic - THANK YOU for recommending this. -worships- <3 <3)
And now I'm going back to my homework. Blasted English homework, telling me to read things other than Havemercy or Deep Fathom.
