Tomorrow I have to tell Grouse that tomorrow is my last shift working for them. In my brief time working there I fell in love with the place. The people mainly but the job is easy and I like it when it is busy and there are things to do and people to talk to. I will be sad when I tell them I won't be around for the summer. I hope they will let me comeback next Christmas when I come back from Calgary.
Yup!!!! I actually got a co-op job!!! With only applying to 3 jobs, I got 2 interviews and then 2 job offers. I went with the Calgary choice. I didn't want to drive to Langley every day at 5am in the morning, that would have really sucked. Plus now this gives me a chance to live on my own, no parents, none of my parents rules, just me in Calgary. Hopefully the other people I go with are interesting and maybe we can be roommates. Plus I know Jessica who lives out there so hopefully I will be able to hang out with her and her friends. Also need to talk to Cam about a guy named Jeff, supposetly he is going to Calgary. I hope the job is easy enough to learn and the people I will be working with just as fun as people from Grouse. This will be first "real" job and first non-custmor dealing with job. Though apparently we do deal with customer, I don't think I will have to deal with them directly.
I am sorta really excited and sorta really sad. I am not going to see all the people who are coming back for the summer and I don't think I will be able to have a crazy party before I go either. I will have very few days to pack and get ready because school will just end and then I will be wisked away to a different province, to make friends and find things to do for the summer. Maybe it will be a summer of watching tv and doing cross-stitch, who knows.
But I will be back, it is only 8 months away from home and my friends. This is definatly going to be a learning experience. Plus everybody has said they are going to come and visit and now anybody who needs a place to crash in Calgary can crash at my place whenever I get a place.
