Chapter 184: That's a New One
*Rayna and Nicholai have met up for their second date*
Nicholai: I thought we could go to dinner, how does that sound?
Rayna: Sounds good, should we go?
Nicholai: Yeah…but…well…
Rayna: What?
*Nicholai suddenly takes hold of Rayna and kisses her*
Rayna: *slightly breathless* Uh…isn’t that supposed to come at the end of the date?
Nicholai: Normally, yeah…but I really wanted to do that for a long time. I couldn’t wait.
Rayna: *smiles*
Nicholai: We can go to dinner now…
Elsewhere…
*Ronan has again come to “The Sweet Shoppe”*
Kiki: Oh…hello, Ronan.
Ronan: Hello, Miss Kiki. I have another list of items I need for Miss Roxanne. *hands Kiki a piece of paper* Do you think you can get them?
*Kiki studies the list*
Kiki: It shouldn’t be a problem; I’ll get to work on it right away.
Ronan: Thank you.
*Ronan starts to leave*
Kiki: Do you have to leave so soon? Why don’t you stay for a while and have a little snack?
Ronan: Er…
Kiki: I had a nice time the other day on our walk…maybe we can go again sometime.
Ronan: I do not think so.
Kiki: Oh… *taken aback by his bluntness*
Ronan: Excuse me, Miss…I’m aware of how you feel about me, but I’m afraid I cannot return your…affection.
Kiki: *extremely embarrassed*
Ronan: I am sorry. I know Sebastian said you look like a princess, and he is right…you are very beautiful…but you are not a princess. You aren’t even magical.
Kiki: …
Ronan: Miss?
Kiki: Well, that’s a new one.
Ronan: Excuse me?
Kiki: Of all the lame excuses I’ve heard over the years that has to be the most original. Usually it’s, “You are too busy” or “You don’t have enough time for me”. I’ve even heard, “You dress in frilly dresses too much and it looks funny” but this is the first time anyone has not liked me because I’m not a princess.
Ronan: Er…
Kiki: And excuse me for not being magical. It’s not like I can help it!
Ronan: Miss-
Kiki: Really, Ronan…you don’t have to like me, I can live with that. But I’ve never been so embarrassed and humiliated in my life!
Ronan: But I-
Kiki: Just go away…please? I want to be alone.
Ronan: *mutters* I am sorry.
Kiki: Please, just leave.
Ronan: As you wish.
*Ronan hastily leaves*
Kiki: Oh…that was…harsh… *sniff* ...but I'm not going to... *sniff*
Kiki: *sob* Darn it...

Ronan is beginning to get a bit annoyed with Kiki...but he definitely could have handled that better (especially if he is a "gentleman").
I also meant to give Rayna and Nicholai a chapter of their own, but I couldn't make it long enough so I just combined it with this one. I like to have the story moving with something new happening when I can...I don't want it to go nowhere. Anyway, the point with Rayna and Nicholai was to show that they are doing fine and Nicholai finally got the guts up to kiss her. :P
I have no additional photos today, I had some other things going on (aka laundry...blah). My husband is going on another business trip, he leaves tomorrow. He is going to Stockholm Sweden this time...needless to say I'm wildly jealous! I keep telling him he needs to take me with him, but no luck so far. He'll be back on Friday so it's not a long trip. I need to give him a haircut before he leaves so I'll be doing that in just a bit. Our family has been having fun with our new Wii. :D We don't even have any other games yet besides the Wii Sports it comes with. However, my arm totally hurt after playing it for a few days, heh! It's better now though. I wasn't sure about the Wii but it's a really fun way to play video games and I love how it gets my butt off the couch. :P
