Shelves and Stuff
Here is a photo of the shelves my husband built just for my dolls. It's really a big bookshelf but he specifically spaced the shelves so that my dolls can fit perfectly while standing:
The bottom shelf holds all my containers with the clothes and stuff, the rest of the shelves are for the dolls and their pets and stuff. My husband made it from scratch from solid wood. He even stained it himself. I'm very happy with it and have told him so about 100 times already. :P
I was a little worried NTP might end up getting canceled because of the controversy going on over there with the guy running it. Never mind that, but it took a week for him to post the final challenge after announcing who was in the final...? Whatever, it finally got posted yesterday.
All it calls for is another head shot. I will admit on being really disappointed. I expected something better for the last challenge. Oh well, I am happy that this contest is FINALLY coming to an end so I'll just focus on that (it has been going on since August...that is just too long, I completed two other contests during this time and it's still going). I wanted to get it over with as quickly as possibly since next week is going to be very busy, I just wanted this one thing out of the way. I didn't want to be completely boring so I tried to dress Oki up really cute and different for this photo. While I was cleaning up all of my doll stuff yesterday to get the shelves in I found my doll top hat so it gave me an idea for Oki's photo, take a look:
So, it's pretty simple but I think she looks really cute. I wanted to use a better backdrop besides just plain white, but all I had besides white was black and I didn't think that would work well with her dress and hat. Going outside is out because it is way to windy today.
Poor Oki...during this photo shoot her head wobbled, her arm came off, her hand came off, and her torso came apart. Her prize from me for completing this contest is going to be a new body, I just can't stand it anymore! :P
