And Here She Is...

So, here's a quick photo of the doll I've been pining for for a long, long time. She's a Lati Yellow Winter Tan Lami, she just arrived on Friday:

Haha, it's odd because I totally expected my Pirate Lea to be darker! Everyone talks about how DARK Lati's tan has gotten, so I was fully prepared for an orange-tinted dark tan baby. Don't get me wrong, she's a good strong tan, but not nearly as orangey as I expected.

Actually, I was quite surprised she came so soon! We were all guessing end of August at least for the Pirates. But it's good, though, Lati said at the end of the Pirate ordering period (in May) that the Pirates would be ready by August and nobody believed it. And look, they delivered. We were shocked :)

I managed to take a few good pics of Pirate Lea (her name is Isilee); I'll probably get those up in the next day or two (my life is so crazy right now!!) For her wig, I ended up giving her the dark brown fur wig I had on Pippa, then putting Pippa (Magician Kuroo) back into her stock wig. I don't dislike Pippa's stock wig, but I want a more "modern" hairstyle, so I'm looking for another wig for her instead.

On second examination, the outfit's not as bad as I thought. I might modify the shirt a little bit to make it a little easier to work with, but it does have some cute pieces. The legwarmers are adorable, and she does have little booty shorts on underneath her skirt, which I think is SUPER cute on her little Lati bum. Yep, the love is there--even for her super intense eyebrows!

I'm so happy for you and everyone else who ordered the pirates that Lati didn't take forever and a day to get them out! :D And yeah, Lati did make those promos of the pirates look very dark. I'd be interested in seeing how the pirates compare to other Lati tans. Maybe we should meet up and compare ours??? Haha! Someday...

Believe me, we were all pleasantly surprised by that one! To be honest, I think it was the special parts (hooves, wings, etc) that were slowing them down. It took them well over six months to get back on track, and I really think that can all be traced back to when they did the Sheep and Dragons. There was nothing special about these molds; just a different resin color and they were good to go! Hopefully whatever they decide to do for their 5th Anniversary won't be as...involved as the Dragons were last year and Lati can finally stay on a decent schedule!

Haha, I second the idea of a meetup! You know, all in the name of...erm...doll science!
