I really wanted to get a new chapter of "House of Pullip" ready yesterday. I meant to anyway, but I ended up being gone most of the day so it just didn't happen. Oh well, today I did have time so here we are...
Heh, oh yes, there is a bit of tension between Phoebe and Toby. They are siblings but their age difference hasn't made it easy to get to know each other well. And Phoebe isn't exactly happy about moving in with Toby (as you can imagine, it would suck for anyone her age I think). So yes, more soon...
I really hope my daughter loves the Brownie. I'm sure she will because she hasn't stopped talking about it since I showed them to her and asked which ones were her favorites, etc. I will definitely let you know what her reaction is. :D
I've wanted a dolly parasol for a long time...and it was perfect for Shiloh in that outfit.
I can't spreading the dolly love in my own house! My kids see me messing around with my dolls all the time. XD My daughter really wanted a Lati yellow but there is no way I was forking out that much money on a doll like that for a 10 year old. Actually, you suggested the Brownie, and I thank you because it was a nice compromise.
Hey, no problem. I think Brownies are a good introduction into the BJD world--they're on the cheaper end, but they're still WAY more expensive than a commercially available doll. It's a good way to see if a) she likes that kind of doll and b) if she can take care of it properly :)
I saw your post about your daughter loving the Brownie. I knew she would :)
I wasn't sure what I was going to think of the Brownie myself, but I will say this: for how much they cost, it's an amazing value! Sure, they are on the cheaper end, but they are still pretty nice. And I know my biggest frustration as a little girl playing with dolls was I hated the lack of poseability. Seriously, I got sick of my Barbie pretty quick because they couldn't bend at all. :P I think that's why I was so intrigued with Pullips, I saw them and was thinking, "Wow, they can pose...finally!" So just for that I think it's like a whole new dolly world for my daughter.
Seriously, that is one of the biggest draws to BJDs for me--the posing! Part of the reason that I adopted Cameron out is because while he is small and adorable, I just didn't think he posed well enough. But there are plenty of other tiny posers in the BJD sea :)
You MUST tell us what your daughter thinks of her new Brownie when she opens it on Christmas. I bet she'll be totally stoked :D
Dolls with parasols, is there anything classier? I think not.
