Here is the new chapter of "House of Pullip". I made it extra long since I haven't been able to post new chapters very regularly lately. Please enjoy it! :D

Chapter 385: What To Do

*Wolfgang and Bailey are on their way back from the library*
Wolfgang: Did you find some good books?
Bailey: Uh huh, Auntie Shiloh saved them for me.
Wolfgang: She knows what you like.
*Bailey nods*

*Alex enters*
Alex: Hey, you two! What’s up?
Bailey: *smiles* Uncle Alex!
Alex: It’s great to see you, kid-o.
Wolfgang: Hi, Alex.

Alex: Whatcha got there?
Bailey: Books.
Alex: Of course…just like your mom.
*Bailey shrugs*
Alex: Trust me, she loved to read.

Bailey: Can I go read now?
*Alex laughs*
Wolfgang: Of course. You run ahead and I’ll catch up with you…I want to talk to Alex for a bit.
Bailey: Bye, Uncle!
Alex: Bye, sweetie, see you soon.

Alex: *watching Bailey* She really does look just like Roxanne with all those books.
Wolfgang: Yeah.
Alex: You’ve done a good job with her, Wolfgang…I know it hasn’t been easy.
Wolfgang: Bailey is worth it.
Alex: I know she is.

Wolfgang: Can I…ask you something…about Roxanne?
Alex: Sure.
Wolfgang: Do you think she would mind if I…you know…tried dating again?
Alex: I think she would want you to. Do you want to?
Wolfgang: Yes…and no. I don’t know. It’s just hard and really awkward.

Alex: You know, I think Roxanne would want both of us to get moving on with our lives. I need to start dating again, too. Roxanne wouldn’t like it if she knew I’d been avoiding it after Madison left.
Wolfgang: I thought you were dating?
Alex: I did a little, but it just didn’t work out so I kind of gave up on it.

Alex: I’ll make a deal with you…
Wolfgang: Um, what kind of deal?
Alex: I’ll get out there are start dating again if you do.
Wolfgang: I was never good at dating. I lucked out when I met Roxanne. But I know I need to. Not just for me but for Bailey, too.
Alex: It won’t be easy…for either of us. But we probably should…what do you say?
Wolfgang: Okay, it’s a deal.

Elsewhere…

Ivy: Laszlo, can I talk to you?
Laszlo: Ivy? Yeah…sure. I’ve been meaning to come and find you.
Ivy: I didn’t think you were all that happy to see me.
Laszlo: I am…really. I’m just distracted by stuff right now, that’s all.

Ivy: Yeah, I talked to Taryn…
Laszlo: Taryn? I thought you didn’t like her?
Ivy: Water under the bridge. Felix was a good friend and he is very happy with her, so I am happy for them. And their daughter is the most adorable girl I’ve ever seen.
Laszlo: *grumbles* Felix…

Ivy: Do you want to talk about it?
Laszlo: No.
Ivy: Okay…but don’t mess with their relationship, they are very happy.
Laszlo: Butt out, Ivy.
Ivy: *sigh* Fine.

Ivy: You know…I really missed you.
Laszlo: Uh huh.
Ivy: Did you miss me at all?
Laszlo: I guess.

Ivy: You guess? Did you or didn’t you?
Laszlo: Huh? What?
Ivy: Never mind, you’re obviously distracted. I should go now. If you ever feel like talking you know where to find me.

*Ivy walks off before Laszlo can respond*
Ivy: *thinking to herself* Maybe it just wasn’t meant to be…

Meanwhile…

Jonas: Oki, how are you?
Oki: I’m fine, what are you two doing?
Bo: Nothing, I’m just keeping an eye on Jonas…as usual.
*Oki laughs*

Jonas: Are you still doing day care for all those kids around here, Oki?
Oki: Oh yes, I love those children and Penelope loves having the friends. Oh, did you know Grace and I are starting a preschool next month?
Jonas: Grace?
Oki: Yes, it’s going to be great!

Jonas: Um…and how is Grace?
Oki: *cautiously* She’s fine.
Jonas: Does she…I mean…have you ever heard her…mention me?
*Bo frowns*
Oki: Let’s not go there, Jonas.

Jonas: I mean, I suppose there’s no reason she would mention me…I was just wondering…
*Oki glances at Bo, who looks sad but says nothing*
Oki: I’m sorry, Jonas, she hasn’t mentioned you.
Jonas: Oh…

Bo: I…have to go.
Oki: What? Why?
*Bo glances at Jonas, but he says nothing*
Bo: I’m not…feeling well. I’ll see you guys later.

Jonas: Is she okay? She seems upset.
Oki: You really don’t know?
Jonas: Should I?
Oki: I thought she was being rather obvious myself…
Jonas: Tell me what you mean.
Oki: *shakes her head* Oh no…I’m not getting involved. This is something you’re just going to have to figure out yourself.
Jonas: *confused* Okay…

To be continued...

Many notes: Bailey calls Shiloh "Auntie Shiloh" but she isn't really Bailey's aunt, it's just a term of affection. Alex really is her uncle though, he's Roxanne's twin brother. Alex probably hasn't been dating much because first Madison left and then he lost his sister. That had to be a blow, but I decided not to dwell on that too much for this story. It's been several years and he's dealing with it...he just needs to get out there more like he used to. Obviously he's encouraging Wolfgang to do the same.

Ivy is attempting to distract Laszlo from worrying about Felix so much. It's not really working and Ivy is getting irritated. Laszlo still isn't acting like he's all that excited that Ivy is home even though he is. He's dwelling too much on his anger with Felix.

Poor Bo...it's hard to love someone who's still in love with someone else. Oki's not stupid, she can see how Bo is feeling. Jonas isn't stupid either, he's just a clueless male who can't see someone who loves them even with she's right in front of his face.

More on all of this coming soon. :D
