Chapter 348: Distress
*Shiloh is walking home to see Hawk*
*She suddenly stops walking*
Shiloh: Oh! There it is again…what is that? It does not feel good. It can’t be…that…can it? I need to find Hawk…
Ronan: You keep smiling at me…
Sabrina: You make me happy, you goon…who would have known?
Ronan: *smiles* A year ago I would have never thought this possible, but now… *his smile suddenly vanishes and he is distracted by something he sees in the distance* Oh dear…
Sabrina: What?
*Sabrina looks in the direction Ronan is looking*
Ronan: Miss Shiloh appears to be in considerable distress…
Sabrina: Oh…my…her baby! Come on, we need to help her!
Ronan: My thoughts exactly.
*Sabrina and Ronan hurry to Shiloh*
Ronan: Miss Shiloh, allow us to help you.
Shiloh: *sees Sabrina and becomes even more stressed* No…really…I’m fine…
Sabrina: You aren’t fine; you need to get to a hospital. Let us help you!
Shiloh: No! I’m not going anywhere without Hawk!
Ronan: Don't worry; we will take you to Mr. Hawk. Come on, we’ll help.
*Ronan and Sabrina support Shiloh*
Shiloh: Thank you… *moans* Oh…no…I need to sit down…
*Sabrina and Ronan help Shiloh to sit down*
Ronan: Your baby…is it coming?
Shiloh: I don’t know…I’m just in a lot of pain…I guess I’m in labor but I’ve never done this so I have no idea what to expect!
Sabrina: Ronan, go find Hawk…it will help her relax.
Shiloh: No! Here… *she hands Ronan her phone* Call him, it’s quicker.
Ronan: Excellent idea.
*Ronan dials the phone while Sabrina tries her best to offer comfort to Shiloh*
Sabrina: It’ll be okay…just think, your baby will be here soon. Aren’t you excited?
Shiloh: Yes…but I’m a little scared, too.
Sabrina: That’s understandable…but it will be okay. Ronan will get Hawk here quick.
Shiloh: Th…thank you. Really…this is nice of you.
Elsewhere…
Wolfgang: Any day now, right?
Hawk: Yeah, I can’t believe it. I’m going to be a dad! Never thought that would happen and now I can’t wait.
Wolfgang: I know how you feel.
Hawk: Hey, how’s Roxanne?
Wolfgang: She’s still really sick. That should have been over by now but I guess she is one of the unlucky ones. I worry about her all the time…
Hawk: Wow…poor Roxanne. But it’ll all be okay…
*Something starts ringing*
Hawk: Sorry, it’s my phone. Oh, it’s Shiloh.
Hawk: Hey, Shiloh, what’s going on…? Ronan? What are you doing on my wife’s phone?
Hawk: WHAT?!?
*Wolfgang looks on, alarmed*
Hawk: Is she okay? Okay…okay…where are you? Alright, I’m coming…tell her I’m running…and tell her to…BREATHE or something!
Hawk: It’s time…it’s time…I can’t believe it’s time!
Wolfgang: Shiloh is in labor?
Hawk: Sounds like it…I’ve got to run!
Wolfgang: Let me help…I can get my car and drive you to the hospital.
Hawk: That would be great, Wolfgang. We’ll meet you out front as soon as possible!

So...yes...it's time! More, of course, in the next chapter. I liked putting Sabrina and Ronan in this chapter, it was a fun way to get them involved in the story a little. Plus, Shiloh was afraid of Sabrina, but Sabrina has learned that there are times when it's not good but make fun so she was being really nice to Shiloh, and Shiloh did notice.
Anyway, I wish I could have made Shiloh look a little more stressed but...oh well. I can't really change her facial expressions so I did what I could. Just so you know, labor is not like they show on TV in the movies where the pregnant woman in question is just randomly minding her own business and then suddenly she doubles over in excruciating pain screaming about her baby coming. Yeah...no...labor starts gradual (for most people I've known) so sometimes, even if you are paying attention it can still be really hard to know exactly what's happening...especially the first time around. That's why I made Shiloh a little confused, but yes, she is in labor.

I like the Lati glasses better on Bailey, but I still think it's cute. :D
