I hope your dolly arrives soon! Mine got here today, and I'm in love! I'm definitely ordering a Green Lea as soon as I can afford to. I'll get some photos up ASAP. :D
What does your hubby think is too pricy? Etsy fees, or what you're charging? Regardless, I'd tell him not to worry about it and do it anyway. :P haha
I really love Shelby's shirt - it suits her well, and the little buttons make her eyes pop! :D
Coco is my favorite Green Lati, I can't wait to see her! She is definitely a cutie. I'm excited about my Lati order shipping (yet another doll, heh, but I paid for that one a while ago). I'm guessing it wills ship within the next two weeks, but we'll see. For now, Lami excitement with keep me busy and less anxious. :D
My husband doesn't like the fees. But for what you get in return (a nice website all set up with little work on my part and easy reach to customers hopefully looking for stuff I might offer, etc) I think it's worth it and not that much. He also doesn't like that they need a credit card to sell and I can't just use my Pay Pal account to pay those fees, but that's not something I can do anything about...and I still don't think it's so much that it really matters. Like I said, he's just being a butt right now. In the end, I think I will end up just opening the store.
Thank you, I like that shirt on Shelby, too...and she needs a little more attention so it was fun to take a photo. :P
I explained the fees to him this way: If I list ten items for $10 each in one month and they all sell in that month, it's $5.50.
I don't see that as expensive, but his concern is that I'll be successful and want to sell 100+ items in a month (which would still only cost $20 to list), but I assured him there is no way I could keep up that kind of pace, I have too many other things to do. At best I think I could do 20 in a month, but only if they all sold, less if they stay listed...and I'm realistic, I know they won't all sell. I'm just hoping some of them are. So far, nothing I'm planning to sell would be more expensive then $15, if even that much, so to me the fees are minor. He's kind of loosening up, but he's still on the fence.
So far I have nine items for Lati yellow and five for Pullip. Plus I just worked on a new design for Pullip today which turned out very well so I think I'll make a few more of those. I'm still hoping to open soon. :D
Toby's outfit looks great! I really like his shirt.
I don't understand his logic either. It's way cheaper than Ebay! Spending all of that time for nothing seems like a bigger waste than what he's thinking about.
Well, I'm sure you can convince him somehow. If not, well...I don't see how he has much of a say in the matter :P.
Thank you, his shirt is nice so I'm glad I bought it. I don't think I will get anymore boy stuff from Volks though because this was the only shirt I really liked. :P
His logic is flawed...he supports me working on these projects, yet when I try to do something like sell them he gets all uptight. I wouldn't touch Ebay with a ten foot pole, and Etsy seems like the best choice for selling handcrafted goods with customers already there looking for new stuff. I think the fees are cheap and worth it. I think I can convince him because I've had my heart set on this for months now. I will be so disappointed if he spoils all my plans (which I thought he was on board with until now...which I also don't get). The only thing I can come up with to explain is Men Are Weird. :P
Your husband needs to talk to my husband about this and a few things, I think. ;) He supports me doing these projects but it's investing in a store that makes me nervous. Personally, I don't think it's a huge investment so I'm not sure what the big deal is and it continues to give me a way to motivate myself to keep working on my sewing projects. He's just weird sometimes.
Of course I'll share the link to where you can find the Volks clothes! :D It's on their US website (and and they ship from the US) in the Who's That Girl line here: http://volksusa.com/who-s-that-girl-.html You can check out the different links on that page for all the different lines of clothes they have...and they have a lot!
Ivy's just having a hard time right now and she's feeling a little embarrassed so she's not at her best. She's going to work things out and it will get better for her here on out, I promise. :D
I like Ivy, too. I love her and in fact she reminds me a little bit of the younger me (in personality only...heh). Although I never blamed some poor guy for another guy not liking me. :P Anyway, she'll be okay!
I don't know about the shoes, they might fit Obitsu but I really don't know. I've never taken a chance with the shoes. The shipping is expensive (about $12) so I always purchase several items at once to make it worth my while. Just buying one thing isn't worth it...but without shipping I think the prices are nice for what you get, they have so much cute stuff. :D
It will not be long until Ivy realizes her way of handling this is not the best, she's just from severe disappointment right now and she blaming the only person who it there...poor Laszlo.

Also, I'm loving these volks clothes. Any chance you want to share the link? xD
And finally, IVY YOU'RE A BRAT. Sorry... needed to yell at her. I'm better now. Honest.

Do you know if the shoes fit, too? I'm loving so much of this stuff. And what great prices!
