First up, thank you so much to lovehaze and marryth for your nice Christmas cards, they came this weekend! I'm touched by your thoughtfulness. :D
I spent the early part of today baking lots of yummy goodies for Christmas. :P I made peanut butter fudge, pumpkin muffins with chocolate chips, and pumpkin muffins with cream cheese frosting (no chocolate chips). Let's hope I don't gain too much weight before the New Year...heh.
Anyway, here is the next chapter of "House of Pullip"...more with Sabrina and Ronan. ;) Enjoy!
Chapter 291: Backwards
*Ronan is on his way to find Sabrina, Melodie comes up behind him*
Melodie: Ronan, wait! Can I talk to you please?
Ronan: Miss Melodie?
Melodie: Yes…I…I…owe you an apology.
Ronan: Oh…?
Melodie: I’m afraid that last time I talked to you I was unkind. I’m very sorry.
Ronan: It’s okay, Miss, I accept your apology. Please don’t worry about it further.
Melodie: That’s kind of you…I still feel bad about being mean, I was just so worried about Penelope at the time…still, it’s no excuse.
Ronan: How is Penelope?
Melodie: She’s fine…just fine.
Ronan: I do care about the children; I would not like it if you thought otherwise.
Melodie: I know, I won’t make that mistake again.
*Sabrina approaches, looking for Ronan, but stops when she sees who is talking to*
Sabrina: *miffed* He’s talking to…her…
*Sabrina continues watching as Ronan and Melodie part ways*
*Ronan sees Sabrina*
Ronan: *smiles* Sabrina…
Sabrina: Hello, Ronan.
Ronan: I was looking for you. I’m glad to see you.
*A slightly awkward silence, Ronan fidgets nervously*
Ronan: I’m sorry.
Sabrina: *caught off guard* What? Why?
Ronan: I think I’m doing this backwards.
Sabrina: I still don’t understand.
Ronan: Kissing doesn’t usually happen first…I should have waited… *blush*
Sabrina: Well, in case you didn’t notice, I didn’t really mind that much.
Ronan: *laughs nervously*
Sabrina: So…what now?
Ronan: I’d like to take you out to dinner…will you please do me the honor of accompanying me?
Sabrina: You want to take me out…really?
Ronan: Yes.
Sabrina: *touched* Then I’d love to go.
Ronan: Thank you! I will do my best to make it an enjoyable evening.
Sabrina: And it will give us the chance to talk about a few things. *looks at him meaningfully*
Ronan: Yes…yes, that’s a good idea.

Sabrina wasn't happy to see Ronan talking to Melodie because she thinks it's possible Ronan might still like Melodie. She was going to bring this up to him but then he asked her to dinner and she got distracted...however, she has every intention of bringing this up at a later time to make sure she's clear on how Ronan really feels. :P
