TQ, Challenge 4

The theme this time around is "Eyes Wide Shut"...the eyes could not be visible. I did a random search on Google images to get some ideas and found this book by Dr. Seuss that I'd never heard of before called "I Can Read With My Eyes Shut" and this idea was born.

I already had the idea of doing something Daddy/Daughter themed, as you can tell from the previous photos I posted. I made the little book from images online and Felix is reading it with his eyes closed, of course. The little girl is amused by him, I imagined her saying something along the lines of, "Stop it, Daddy! You can't read with your eyes closed!" As an added detail I used my other daddy/daughter photos in the background for some extra interest and to give the viewer an idea of the relationship between Felix and the little girl. Bonus: Felix's eyes are even closed or not visible in the background photos.

This photo shoot was really fun and I'm very pleased with my results. I would really like to make it to the final round, but it's okay if I don't because I've had a great time so far doing this contest. :D

In other news: I'm so sorry I have not posted up a new chapter of "House of Pullip" since Friday. I meant to do it yesterday but I was too busy. I will try to get to it later today but I have a doctor's appointment (nothing serious, I'm just getting my thyroid checked...again) so I'm not sure I'll have time. I apologize for the delay but it happens and I will work on it as soon as I can. :D

We're also on hurricane watch here. I'm eating my words here, I told someone last week that Ike was unlikely to enter the Gulf and...well...I guess Ike had to prove me wrong. :D Earlier yesterday Ike's track was coming right at us, but today the track is way off to the southwest. However, I know better then to relax and the track could easily change again so we're just keeping a close eye on it...just in case. Luckily, we live far enough inland that even with a direct hit we would probably be okay. Flooding is unlikely here, but I worry about the wind because of the number of large trees on our property and around our house.
