Sorry for the delay in getting this chapter up. I was gone almost all day yesterday with my family, we went to a local water park for some good family fun...and it was so fun! I'm exhausted today (and a bit sunburned), but it was so worth it. The kids had a ball, as did my husband and I, so it's all good. Anyway, I had plenty of time, while watching day one of the Olympics, to get this chapter of "House of Pullip" ready for today, please enjoy! :D
Chapter 240: Plots
Sabrina: Now…let’s get started. Forget about romancing Melodie, you need to be her friend first.
Ronan: How?
Sabrina: Don’t you have any friends?
Ronan: …Not really…
Sabrina: What about Sebastian?
Ronan: I suppose we are friends somewhat, but lately he has not wanted to be around me.
Sabrina: *snort* Can you blame him? You acted like a twit to that new girlfriend of his.
Ronan: How do you know about that?
Sabrina: Do you really need to ask me that?
Ronan: *mumbles indistinctly about nosy women*
Sabrina: *laughs* Being nosy gives me an edge.
Ronan: What do you need an edge for?
Sabrina: Do I have to explain this to you? You should know that since I grew up as a non-magical person in a castle full of royal sorcerers, I had to find some way to always have an edge. I guess here it’s not that necessary, but it’s a habit now.
Ronan: I did not think of that…
Sabrina: Whatever…we aren’t here to talk about me…
Ronan: Yes…Melodie…
Sabrina: Friends first, you understand? I have some experience making friends recently so I think I can help you.
Ronan: *eagerly* Yes…please!
Elsewhere…
*Ivy is out with Zander on a date again*
Ivy: Thanks for taking me out again, it’s always fun.
Zander: No problem…I…really like being with you.
Ivy: You do?
Zander: Yeah, am I not making it obvious enough?
Ivy: I’m sure you are, I’m just slow sometimes…sorry.
Zander: I like you a lot, Ivy.
*Ivy is speechless*
Zander: Aren’t you going to say anything?
Ivy: I don’t know what to say…I like you…I do…I’m just…I don’t know.
Zander: Maybe I can help you decide.
Ivy: What do you mean?
*Zander doesn’t say anything but pulls her closer…they lean toward each other…and then something starts ringing*
Zander: What is that noise?
Ivy: *grumbles* It’s my phone.
Zander: Oh…just ignore it then… *he tries to lean in again*
Ivy: Sorry…I should really answer it.
*Zander sighs heavily, feeling extremely disappointed*
Ivy: *into her phone* Hello?
Felix: Ivy…don’t do it!
Ivy: *hisses into the phone* Who is this…Felix, is that you? Why are you calling me?!?
Zander: ???
To be continued...
Oh yes, more on this little development in the next chapter... ;)
Also, I got a little surprise today...look who is together at last...
Yep, my order from Lati came TODAY! (just a reminder, Bailey in the right and Piper is on the left)
Lati shipped my order on Thursday, but I wasn't honestly expecting it to come until Monday. When I check the tracking this morning it said it said my package was still in Los Angeles. I suppose they hadn't updated it yet because at 10:00am the doorbell rang and the lovely mail lady had my box. Sweet! It was almost worth the $54 I paid for shipping...but not quite (it would have been more worth it if I didn't have to wait so long for them to ship it out in the first place...over a month and a half).
So I put Bailey together, her body is really tight but I don't mind it that way actually. She holds her poses well so that's good. I tried the blond wig on Bailey first...and yeah, it's not a great color for her (which is funny since I had ordered it for her in the first place). Plus, the wig is darker then I expected, but I think the color looks great on Piper. The two wigs are the exact same style, just different colors...that kind of bugs me, I'd rather have more variety in styles as well as colors.
I like the black wig on Bailey but I think I'm going to get her a red wig instead, like a wine color. I think it would look great with her pretty green eyes. I love the color of the blond wig for Piper, yet the style isn't turning out to be my favorite (which is why I tied it back with the little black ribbon). I might also get her a different wig that is similar in color but a slightly different style. I saw a few cute ones at Cancan I'm thinking of buying.
But for now, I'm just thrilled they are all together with bodies and wigs and all. Until I figure out for sure what I want to do with their hair, they will just by my fun little works-in-progress! I will take more photos of them later...it's too freakin' hot and humid out today (just doing the photo story photos was pretty much enough for me :P).
