Chapter 219: Preparations
Kiki: So this is the guest list and this is the menu. I’ve got all the food on order; I’ll take care of that on the day of the wedding.
Ronan: Excellent.
Kiki: Over here are the decorations.
Ronan: We should start with these.
Kiki: Good idea.
*They begin emptying boxes and organizing their stuff as Sebastian enters*
Sebastian: Hello, my dear. How is everything?
Kiki: It’s going well, I think we’ll be able to get this done in time. *she smiles happily*
Sebastian: Please…may I be of assistance?
Kiki: Oh…that would be great! I’d love your help.
Ronan: No!
Kiki: What?
Sebastian: Why ever not?
Ronan: This is servant work…or at least certainly not the kind of thing a prince should be doing.
*Kiki rolls her eyes*
Sebastian: Are you implying that I am not capable of doing hard work like any other person?
Ronan: No…I…
Sebastian: I want to help; I do not see the problem.
Kiki: Neither do I. I’d love your help…come over here and you can help me hang these decorations.
*Ronan watches Kiki lead Sebastian quickly away*
Ronan: *sigh*
*Roxanne enters*
Roxanne: This is exciting to see everything coming together! Thank you, Ronan, for doing all this work.
Ronan: You are welcome, Miss. But…I must admit…Miss Kiki should get most of the credit. It is because of her that things are going so well.
Roxanne: That’s generous of you to say after…everything going on.
Ronan: You must think I’m an awful person.
Roxanne: Listen…I don’t know all that went on, but nobody’s perfect. Still, she could have made you happy.
Ronan: *watching Kiki and Sebastian* I think she is much happier with Sebastian…and he with her.
Roxanne: You aren’t jealous, are you?
Ronan: No. But I wonder…what makes them happy? I do not understand…
Roxanne: Haven’t you ever been in love?
Ronan: No. Love is…a distraction.
Roxanne: Well…then of course you wouldn’t understand. And I feel sorry for you. Love is…what makes life worth living.
Ronan: *looks at Roxanne curiously* Is it really that good?
Roxanne: *smiles* Oh yes. I recommend you try it out sometime.
Ronan: Seems like too much trouble.
Roxanne: *shakes her head at him* You just don’t know.
Kiki: *teases Sebastian* So…you don’t mind doing “servant work”?
Sebastian: That is ridiculous! I enjoy helping.
Kiki: I know…and this is so much more fun with you here. You can help me out as long as you want.
Sebastian: Thank you…it is nice to be appreciated.
*Kiki gives Sebastian a quick kiss on the cheek and they continue working*

Ronan is still...Ronan. Now the others are kind of ignoring his lame comments for the most part. Roxanne is pretty sweet to him though and Sebastian, like pretty much any man, just wants to help and be appreciated. Kiki appreciates him, this makes him happy. :D
I have nothing new to add except I heard from Lati over the weekend. They confirmed my payment so that's all done. They said they were "preparing my items for shipment"...however, I'm not fooled. I know I'm still going to be waiting for quite some time. I won't get excited until I get the shipping notice. :P
Also, I'm doing a Summer Swap over at the House of Pullip forum. If you are a member there and want to participate, be sure to sign up before the deadline. I'm just saying this here because a few people missed the Secret Santa swap and they were disappointed so I don't want anyone to miss out if they are interested. :)
