It was the same old story, and by old story, I mean something clichéd but outdated, like having thanksgiving at grandma’s or owning a tire swing. Our story was something out of a faded paperback published in the early 1900s and delegated to the public library’s bargain book bin. We were two kids who met at church, grew up and maybe fell in love together. They said storylines like that didn't survive past the Golden Age, whenever the hell that was. But I thought that we could be an exception."
Maybe I'll just write away while I'm supposed to be working. So much for productivity!
