Small Wonders
“And now put a drop of it on there.“
“It stinks. I don’t know what’s so great about muddy water anyway,” David pouted, but did as told.
“Just take a look,” I replied, covering the drop with the thin piece of glass and setting it in place.
“I shouldn’t have to be doing this in the holidays. Science is stupid!” He briefly glanced through the microscope. “Besides, I don’t see anything.”
“You slowly have to turn this wheel until you can see something.”
David complied. From the wonder on his face, I could see when the sample slid into focus.
