connected

wrapped in you
tightly trapped,
my eyes are yours
straining to see
where you begin
and i end.
my jealousy tastes
your every dream,
mingled mistrust
pumping through
our joined hearts.
my darkness
or your light
erases the borders:
symbiotic
or already parasitic?
dependant on your toes
only just touching
the distant ground.
relying on my mind
vaguely remembering
the direction of the sky.
entwined to the point
letting go would kill
or perhaps heal:
in our struggle
of keeping control
we can no longer tell.
