This is not - not - the crack!fic I'm meant to be writing. It's not, but my muse stamped her foot. She's good at that. It's also not - not - nicking a premise from North & South, which I didn't just finish watching. At all. *headdesk* Line nicked from *blush* One Tree Hill.

Happy SQUEE! To the millionth extreme. I simply adored this! The entire thing was soft and almost dreamlike, but so very real. I love how the dialogue was seperate, tangential, not necessarily "important" because with them as much as they both can master vocal words its what they say with everything else in moments like this. I loved the adding of the Avalon convo - their beginning again, but they're not because they never really end. Plus I can just imagine the soft smiles and playful grins they would share.

And as for the OTH line, totally forgiven, b/c even thought it's OTH, that's a brilliant line.

This just made me feel all warm and shippy *hugs* Love.

That tech. with the dialogue was nicked from you, you know *blush* I saw you using it in Noir/Bijou and thought I'd experiment with it. I hope you don't mind - it just suited the scene best.

Also, the Avalon convo just -happened, that way my prissy little muse just slips things in.

Oh, thank God for that. I do love that line. There's a vid on youtube of Peyton's voiceover with all the period drama people hooking up that makes me squee every time.

Your story makes me happy :) I don't know how many people reading this are aware of how you *cough*ripped-off N&S*cough* came up with the idea, but I love how you tweaked the scene to fit D/V...I'm actually surprised at how well you managed to apply it to them. Just goes to show what a good writer can do ;) My only wish now is that I could see this version! Damn. Just have to settle for Mr.Thornton ;) Seriously though, loved this...made me swoon all over again. So romantic!

First of all, I had almost forgotten how much I love North & South.

Second of all, your writing is amazing, your prose is gorgeous, very poetic.

Favourite lines:
It's worse than a Washington rush hour, but she tosses that memory through the gaps in the grids, watching it sink too many levels below.
That is just great imagery and the way that first mention of Earth is jsut there with the rest of her thoughts.

Vala turns away and senses him a step behind in a dance she isn't sure she remembers.
That is just a beautiful line, and it really gives a feeling of what she is going through, and this may be because I am sleep deprived, but it really felt as if these steps were missing but you were drifting along anyway with Vala. It is an amazing line.

The whole thing is beautiful and i love the whole idea about "home."

Thank you very much :) I loved N&S so much, lol, that I wrote a DV version the minute it had finished. It seems to be the ultimate compliment I can pay a film - the same thing happened with POTC.

This is one of the reasons I wish dearly for a season 11 - so that we could see Vala getting to this stage, the same stage Teal'c is at with the cultural references and so on, really feeling like a part of Earth :)
