YES YES YES!!! That line just some up perfectly the change that happened in Vala's relationship with the team after MM. She was knocked down and they were all able to see what she hid. If, like me, you look into every single little thing you can tell that it was after MM that hers and Daniel's relationship changed ever so subtly. They still bickered and all but it was softer, Daniel was given a look into a Vala that he wasn't sure was there and saw her venerability. She's still tough and a survivor but she's also fragile. I also think Vala changed a bit after too, she let the team see more of her, b/c now she knew she didn't have to hid that side of herself anymore. And... I just realized how long this got to be. From one sentence-- you are evil! and dangerous for my brain! I love it. Hee! *huggled*
On another note- love your Cam. Very nice. Its very interesting to see how he deal with the situation the team is in. How he understands how they are all dealing with this, the difference in Vala's reaction and Sam and Teal'c's b/c they have been in this situation before while Vala is dealing w/ really losing Daniel for the first time. He so sweet in taking care of them.
I can still have simple friendships with complicated people. Love this line.
I'm gonna stop now before I completely dissect the entire thing. Great piece.

ITA on MM as changing her place in the team - before that, they were never sure which was real and which was her defense, but after that they all understood it was how she liked to be but it wasn't her, if that makes sense.
And Dominion really flagged up for me exactly how good Cam is at watching and noting team dynamics, it's only been since I saw it that I feel I've really had a way into his character. He gives a really subtle performance in it, just a look here or line here, but it gives a lot away.
