Two people
Two lives
Suddenly twisted inseparably together
Strands criss-crossing
Like a string of stars
Thrown across the universe
Woven like a tapestry
Of the eternal galaxies
Spiralling together
Down the bursting galleries
Of space and time
Never alone again
With this beautiful thread of stars
Bursting in and out your life
Like the brightest fireworks
Burning so bright it’s blinding
But there’s payment for it
Payment for this spectacular, beautiful life
They whisper to each other
When your trail of stars grows cool
And your exploding light finally fades
So does mine
When you die, so do I
Because when I found you
I knew
I’d never be alone again
Even death cannot pull us apart,
Cannot separate the silver stars of our lives
Unpick the milky way,
Shake the sky until the stars fall out
But still we are entwined
Two people.
