As a Zutara fan, I know that fans can get so damn annoying. We look so much into an episode in search for hints that might let us know that it'll happen in the future. And we fight to the very end to prove that Zutara can still happen

Some facial expressions of Jin did remind me of Katara, but other than that, I saw no reference to Zutara whatsoever. If you want to count the lit up lanterns on water as a hint, go ahead.
Really, there aren't any hints or foreshadowing for any of the three ships. It was just a story that gave birth to a new ship: Jinko.
Which I secretly admire from afar.

LMAO That's such a wonderful thing to think about. And yes, I agree, it is bullshit. :/
Like I said, I don't think this episode had anything related to Zutara, I don't know why a lot of fans say it is. O_o I guess it's just them being hopeful.
it's so pretty. i love it, too. ♥

WHAT?! IS STEO BASHING HER OWN OTP!!! NO.
I'm not sure I should feel sorry or feel happy for Jinko. One hand, all the ships that support Zuko with another woman are pissed off and annoyed. On the other, a lot of shippers like Jinko, and ship on the side, even if they don't want to admit it.
I really think Zutara has a chance on becoming canon. Not to our dirty level, though (lol). It's just that some fans just took this episode as a hint towards Zutara, which it wasn't.

I think it's sorta like "I want Zuko to be happy, but with _____", which is how I feel. A lot of the fans that ship Zuko with Mai/Katara/Song/etc. are furious and ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to believe that Jinko will push through the surface, but yet they somehow admit it's cute. It's almost like they want to give-in but they don't. :/
Haha, I think that too. But I don't wanna get my hopes up only to be disappointed in the end; which is why I don't lie to myself by saying that Jinko = Zutara.

I still love Zutara way more than Jinko, but this new ship is just too cute and canon to ignore.
There was this theory kimchicrusader posted on avatar_fans that was really great. That Jin might be a spy to see if Zuko and Iroh really are from the fire nation. And it actually makes a lot of sense, given the events of the date (the lanterns at the pond not lit on that particular night, the asking of many questions on where thye live, etc).

Of course. Zutara is better than Jinko anyday! XP
Really? I must read it. I wouldn't be surprised though, it'd be yet another reason for Zuko to get depressed again. And Jin pretending that she didn't know how he lit the lanterns up was kinda weird. It was too obvious-- how did she not catch on?

Read it, it's very interesting. Well, if the spy thing is true, then she probably knew that he was firebending, with all of that noise the fire makes when your shooting it around, and the sudden brightness around the area.
I thought it was so cute what Zuko did. He wanted to make her happy.
INNER ZUTARA: WRRRYYYYYY!!!!!!!

I just finished reading it! It's a very good theory-- I definitely give it two thumbs up. It could very well happen. And like some said, there needs to be a catalyst for the Season Finale, and Jin ratting out Iroh/Zuko would be more than perfect. It just makes sense.
He did that because he likes her, and like I told strymgalleries, guys will do anything to impress a girl they like. DD': ... AND YET, IT'S SO CUTE!

I think it would spice up Jin's character. I love woman characters that have a deeper meaning and purpose in the show (like Azula, Katara, Toph, etc.) I would probably like her even more if she actually was a spy, and she could kick some firebending ass.

Plus, where did they get the notion that he was thinking of Katara, Mai, or Song? I didn't see anything related to it at all.
I like Jinko as well. Shh...
