Yesterday we went to Music Millenium to see Ladytron spin records for free. At the start of the set the girl announcing them said something to the effect of "this is a dance party, don't just stand there and stare at Ladytron"

In true Portland fashion everybody sat there with their arms akimbo not moving. Jackie and Orion and I, on the other hand, started dancing. We danced long and we danced hard. The only other person who danced was this middle aged woman who was fake tan and dressing way to young for her age. When we stopped and went outside for some air we had to pass through the crowd and people were like "Nice dancing guys" To which I replied "You should try it some time"
After we came back inside there were two really cute girls dancing. So we joined them and continued on our quest for awesome moves. A few others did join in. But there were still about 50 people just standing there decked out like they were hip (but they weren't cause they weren't dancing)

At one point everybody dancing decided to turn to the rest of the crowd and invite them loudly to dance. I swear to a possibly non-existant god, some people actually SHOOK THEIR HEADS! Ugh. I am so sick of this Portland hipster attitude.

When I move back you Portland friends better have that fixed.
