Hail the brand-spankingly sparkly new year!
Hooray! It's the year 2005! I intend to use this livejournal a little more, just to keep tabs on keeping up with my new years resolutions :) These include:
I had decided on my third one last night, because there are times where I will just quite randomly pick up a pen and note pad and write the first words that come to mind and they somehow form some sort of poem. I'm trying to get into the state where I'm not so critical about my stuff, and want to just take it as a process of my creativity - not worrying how it sounds, makes sense, etc. Bit harder to do that with my own music unfortunately. Nevermind! I was hoping that by writing my nonsense here I can keep track of what i do (i tend to throw everything i write away unless i like it), maybe see a trend, improvements etc... so beware - I'm putting all sorts of crap here now :)
- To read more (for pleasure - no more essays to research, so it's about time I ought to get back to my favourite books and discover more)
- To keep up the effort of keeping in touch with and visiting friends
- To get more creative musically, and in writing. I'd like to actually finish a composition this year, in my own time, and to do more creative writing - i.e. poetry, short stories.
