City names... and other things...

Hi, I have three questions that are not really related at all. Thanks!

1) I need the name of a small town in Indiana that has been around since, oh, the year 1900 or so. Just any nondescript town that I can use as the hometown of a kid in 1927 who comes from Indiana. Not a big city, not particularly remarkable. If it is (and was back then) politicially conservative/Christian, for the most part, that would be good, but it doesn't really matter.

1b(?)) I need to name the capital city and some villages in my fictional country of Mlodovska, which is supposed to be near Russia, Poland, the Ukraine, etc. I could use real names of Polish, Russian, or Ukrainian villages--(or I could just pull some village names from Tolstoy, but I don't know enough about the names to know whether they are real and/or recognizable.) The capital city I'd like to be made up. Sounding Russian would be great, as the country is supposed to be in large part ethnically Russian--I just know enough Russian to talk about existing things, not to make up new ones. Thanks

2) If you were following the stars south and you were in anywhere of central Europe (Germany, Czech Republic, etc,) which stars/constellations would you follow? I tried to research this in Wikipedia and Google but they gave me complicated charts that I didn't understand. It's a fictitious country again, so exactly where he'd need to be is not very important. If expertise matters, the person in question has none. But, he's lucky. :P

3) Would a girl with hair on the short side of chin length be able to suck on a strand of hair or get it in her mouth accidentally? My hair is longer than that, so I don't know.

Thanks! Sorry for randomness!
