I have to disagree, it's a lot bigger than a se7en and Austin never put a turret top coupe body on one (besides it being LHD). The images you show appear narrowed.
With the chrome on the bonnet sides and tha grill it looks american to me. First thought was Plymouth Coupe
but the grill is wrong. I don't really know old cars from outside Europe. It's not an Opel either.
From the styling I'd say not before 1934 and if it's a 1937 film that gives you an end date. Look for american cars using the crossed grill with a lozenge badge around that time.
