Australian musics
Hello,
I'm writing a piece set in Australia, and I'm curious as to what the "classic" groups of pop/rock music are. I don't mean Kylie Minogue; I mean along the lines of Cold Chisel and The Whitlams and groups like that.
ETA: As pointed out, I should try to describe who's listening. Male, middle-class, lives in a large city, post-college and working as something I haven't decided (probably a teacher or something like that). Not the type to listen to Savage Garden, though I can't claim to have listened to all their songs. *G*
So I think I'd be asking for things on the heavier side of the scale, not that I won't look at groups/artists that don't fit that.
Anything you can give would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
