Damage to a 1991 Buick after hitting a tree
My story is set today, in rural South Carolina. The main character falls asleep while driving, hits a tree (a huge live oak, if that matters) with his car, and fortunately isn't injured much.
I need to know what kinds of damages the car would suffer from a wreck like this, what the local mechanic would need to do to fix it, and about how much (ballpark, doesn't have to be exact) it would cost. I'm hoping for something in the $3000.00 range, but I'll take what I can get.
I've tried Googling several phrases ("car repair hit a tree", "effect of wreck on a car", "kinds of damages to cars", "how car is damaged if you hit a tree", etc. ) but apparently the only results out there are related to what insurance does or does not cover, and what kind of injuries you would suffer.
