Clubs, pubs and flirting in 1940s/50s Jamaica

I have a scene wherein a traveller from elsewhere (we'll say an alternate but connected world) is searching for a particular woman in mid-20th century Jamaica. I can fudge the timing somewhat because he doesn't pay much attention, but 1940s-60s, earlier the better, is what I'm looking for.
What I've found so far is that this is the time Jamaica was gaining political autonomy from Britain, they had a general election in 1944 (and have had 16 since), their economy was a shambles and various other wider cultural details which are useful but not what I'm looking for.
I've googled 1940s (and 50s) jamaica, clubs/bars/pubs jamaica 1940s and variations thereof. I can't even think how to go about googling my second question.
What I am looking for is whether there'd be a specific name for a club or pub or place where younger people would gather, so I can research them more fully. Ideally this would be where he'd find the young woman in question 2 and they'd have a drink together.
I'd also like to know what a semi-flirtatious young woman would say to a man she was serving in a bar/club/store. For example around where I live right now she'd be likely to say "Hiya sweetheart, what can I get you?" or something similar. What would a young woman in Jamaica at this time say?
