Women's prisons in California and escape from prison
Hey all, I've hit a bit of a blank with my research.
The story I'm working on is set San Francisco, 2004-2005
One of my characters is a suspected serial killer and during the story she escapes from prison. I'm wondering what kind of prison would she be in, what security level would it be, and how easy/difficult would it be for her to plan and subsequently escape.
I have searched: women+prison+california, women+prison+san+francisco, women+prison+security+levels and I have also looked at images (and seen some on documentarys) of US prisons and they look like fortresses, even the low security ones.
