繆麗敏
Mandarin: Miao (Surname) Limin (First name, means "Beautiful and Quick-witted")
Cantonese: Miu (Surname) Lai Man
"Miao" is both a surname and sounds a bit like 喵 (miao), the sound a cat makes.
For a nickname, I'd say "Mimi" (咪咪), which works as both a common nickname in Chinese and English and another way for saying "mew" in Chinese.

Should also note that "Limin/Lai Man" is a very effeminate name (Li/Lai almost always used exclusively for girls) and "Miao Limin" is not an implausible name as
a search would confirm
. :)

Mao is the word for cat, as a pet name Me Me is often used.

If you just need a nickname, mimi suggested above would do, or Xiao mao (literally little cat).

Also the Chinese frequently refer to cats as "mao mi" (kind of the equivalent of kitty in English)
