Forensic Accounting and the Japanese Police

I've lurked for awhile, but this is my first time asking a question, so here goes =)!

Search Terms: I've looked through relevant tags and searched "forensic accountants in Japan", "Japanese fraud squad", "Japanese police dress code", and pretty much every variation thereof =/. I've learned a bit about the profession, at least in North America and ( Read more... )

Thank you! I've read the Wikipedia article, but as some of my other sources implied that after-work get-togethers took place every night, I figured I'd better consult an expert, as Wikipedia has occasionally been known to publish inaccurate information :3.

In the roleplay, Rei hasn't met with the senshi for five years (because there were no new threats, they were all busy pursuing their ambitions, etc.), so it wouldn't happen often enough for her coworkers to tease her about it (and she probably wouldn't tell them, since I lean towards the manga version, in which she's a lot more reserved =P), but I do appreciate the suggestion! In any other case, I'd use it to make her life difficult, but alas =3!

I'll definitely credit you when I use the icon! I think Yuuichirou is adorable and, though he receives much more attention than either Urawa or Ken (?), it's still not really enough and the fandom doesn't give him either enough love or enough credit. Not that I've done much to fix the problem, I confess, but now I'll have an icon to advertise my love of that pairing ;3. I'll definitely credit you when I use it and thanks again, both for the information and for allowing me to gank the icon!

I have a friend who moved to Japan to work, and her boyfriend is Japanese. He works in sales. She says he does not meet with his co-workers every night. She said that's more for middle-aged "salarymen," and it's more a stereotype than something everyone sticks to. I mean, the employee bonding is very important, but they don't all do it every day. A lot of that depends on what you do for a living. Age could have a lot to do with it as well.

I usually trust Wiki articles if they have good references. :) That link that I gave you doesn't really seem to have any references, but my friend in Japan confirmed for me that these parties do exist and they are called nomikais.

They kinda ruined Yuuichiro in the dub. He's far less adorable with that stupid surfer accent. In the original, it's extremely endearing how much he loves Rei from afar and how shy he can be at times. I love the moments when she sees him for more than just someone to chase with a broom. I think a lot more fans would appreciate the couple if they saw the original, with the original voice actor, and didn't judge the character by "Chad." :P :D

Thanks so much! It was very kind of you to double-check. I love and tend to trust Wikipedia as well, but I'm always a little wary when there are no references, particularly as I've heard some horror stories of late xD;.

There wasn't much that the dub didn't ruin and, grateful as I am to have been introduced to Sailormoon (and to have grown to love it) through DiC, I'm really, really happy to have rediscovered the Japanese version. Unfortunately, I've yet to see the sub, but I've read the manga in English (and read about the anime, with pretty extensive focus on Yuuichirou :3), so I've a decent idea of just how adorable he is--certainly enough of one to love the relationship he and Rei have. However, Jadeite and Minako are stiff competition, so, unfortunately, we don't see much Rei/Yuuichirou (or Rei/Kaidou, for that matter +mangageek+).

Fangirling done--well, actually, the fangirling's never done xD--but, you know what I mean. I'd just like to thank you again for all your help! It's really helped me to understand Rei's lifestyle (in the roleplay) and all that jazz. Plus, it's always nice to chat with a fellow fan =D!

I think a lot more fans would like the Rei/Yuuichiro pairing if they saw the original Japanese version. The character changes a lot from Yuuichiro to Chad.

The manga has made Senshi/Four Generals pairings very popular! I can understand the appeal.

Hope you have fun with your rp. ^_^
