Losing virginity for girls

Jun 07, 2007 19:47

I don't think this has been answered here yet. I'm writing a scene where a girl loses her virginity. I would like to know how many girls do/don't have an orgasm the first time they have sex, and how many feel pain from their hymen. I Googled different phrases, but I found a lot of porn sites and sketchy information. Not what I'm looking for. So... ( Read more... )

One site that might help you on your quest is the-clitoris.com. Despite the name, it's not a porn site. It's quite educational.

I was also going to recommend this site. It's informative, and accurate. For me: terrible pain, lots of blood; orgasm from intercourse alone, not then, not now. And believe me, we've had lots of fun trying. Like the majority of women, I need clitoral stimulation of some sort to orgasm.

Websites aimed at young women contemplating the same thing might be your best bet -- try http://www.scarleteen.com/ or similar. Keep in mind that many, many, MANY women do not orgasm with a partner even after years of having sex (or ever, doing anything), so if your character does have an orgasm, it may very well be from another activity and not the intercourse itself. (That doesn't mean having an orgasm is rare, on the other hand.)

Also, we can't post anonymously. This entry is friendslocked.

Back in ancient times, when dinosaurs roamed the Earth and I lost my virginity...

Orgasm? No. I didn't. Possible? Sure. However, I will say that it more... take a sock, a size or two too small, and stretch it over your foot. That's kinda what it felt like. It wasn't like "OMG! RIP!PAIN!" It was more "Tight! Don't move!" kinda thing.

Plus it depends on your scenario. Preparation, care, and going slow = easier time/less pain.

So, to clarify...you lost your virginity to a dinosaur? Rawr, baby!

Hee.

Orgasm depends on the partner and what he does; even a non-virgin is unlikely to have an orgasm purely from vaginal intercourse. A patient partner and some oral sex and/or manual stimulation = much more likely to get the job done.

As I understand it, pain is less likely to be due to the hymen and more likely to be a cry of protest from muscles that aren't used to having anything shoved up there. *g*

Yes, orgasm--surprising myself and the guy. Some pain, but nothing I couldn't grit my teeth and get over. Honestly, if you have any sort of active life, you've probably felt worse: it was somewhere between a scraped knee and a bad papercut.
