Broken ribs on a plane (no, it really doesn't have the same ring)

I have a character who's shot in the torso, probably with a 9mm. She's wearing body armor of some description, so the shot isn't lethal, but she's going to have a couple broken ribs from the impact.

Due to circumstances in the story, she needs to get out of there as quickly as possible and get to a place about 900 miles away from where she is, meaning no trip to the hospital for a while. Would getting on a commercial flight with broken ribs be particularly dangerous for some reason? The only flight-related medical problem I know of is pulmonary embolism, but it occurred to me that this could be an issue.
