Okay, so I'm hunting down information on firefighters. I've been insanely lucky that every other search term I've used has worked.
I'm trying to find the ranks for Firefighters in California, USA. I know some of this stuff varies, but the city this is set in is fictional, so I have some minor leeway.
I found one for New York that goes: Chief of Department, Chief of Operations, Assistant Chief, Deputy Assistant Chief , Division Commander, Deputy Chief , Battalion Commander, Battalion Chief, Captain, Lieutenant, and Firefighter.
Is this close enough to be usable? Or are there key differences.
Also, on a slightly related note. How long would a college/uni semester last? Four months?
Edit: Okay, the semester question's been answered, so thanks. :) Still looking for the firefighter ranks!
