I'm trying to find any information on native Americans and the making of any sort of alcohol, whether it be for cerimonial purposes or just plain drinking. I found one reference here:
http://www.cyberspaceag.com/kansascrops/corn/cornhistory.htmthat said there was 'evidence that corn had been used to make alcohol', but that's it. Most searches only turn up things about alcoholism in native Americans so...
*Did* any tribes make a fermented beer or alcohol of some sort before the coming of Europeans? Or were they totally ignorant of the making of fermented beverages? That seems unlikely but i can't find anything. Thanks!
ETA: Have the information i need now, thank you all!
