hi, my name is irana. eirik (en_god_tanke) told me you bought a camera at a store her ein buenos aires and that was pretty cheap. do you rememebr what store by any chance?

hi! i bought a canon ae-1, and i THINK the place was called R&R Audio or something. we were walking around randomly and just found a whole block with stores selling used cameras. i paid 450 pesos, it was the cheapest i found. loved buenos aires, and argentina by the way!

okay, i'll try explaining: we walked on lima from where it crosses avenida de mayo, towards santa fe a few blocks. then we turned left on one of the big streets after av. de mayo and before santa fe; it might have been quite close to that big thing in the middle of av. 9 de julio. then we walked another few blocks, and all of a sudden, on our right hand side, we found that block with all the camerashops. that's the best i can do i think! : )

mind if i add you by the way? and do you live in buenos aires?

haha well. between av de mayo and santa fe there are 8 blocks but i guess i'll figure it out. i know that near that there's a street that sells all musical instruments so i guess there might be a parallel block that sells cameras and stuff like that. i'll go check.

and yes,i live in buenos aires. the place you just described was microcentro, and san telmo. i go to college in la boca, that is like 10 minutes away from there.

i love the how there's different blocks all dedicated to selling one thing, like the "gold and jewelry"-block, the camerablock, the watchblock etc. by the way, i think i had the feeling that the big street we walked down between mayo and santa fe was kind of an "entertainment" street. theaters, bookstores (i believe gandhi is on that street somewhere) and stuff like that.

and, it is a bit embarassing that we never got to drag our asses to la boca, even though we had at least a couple of weeks in buenos aires. oh well, i'll go there next time. : )
