I Only Ever Want To Blog When I'm Busy

I have a lot going on right now. It's a nice change of pace because there's never a dull moment. Work hours got cut but it isn't so bad, I'm pretty good at making my funds last and keeping my debt low-to-zero. My automobile is on its deathbed, having overheated for the billionth time in forever. This time, I was the one who diagnosed the problem (heater core) and all it cost was $1 for new clamps. Score one for Team Badger who is now in the market for a new (used) vehicle.

The term paper for my science class is due in November, but I have too much on my plate to turn in a rough draft for correcting in early October. It's okay, the paper will be great regardless because I know how to buckle down and churn out excellent term papers on almost any subject. Yup, I am *that* gifted.

Currently, I am working on a speech that I stands to gain me some local recognition. It's a scary thought, but the topic is pretty innocent so I'm sure not stay anything controversial. But speaking 20 minutes on any topic is pretty taxing, nonetheless.

I attended Reel Pride last week with Greg. It was fantastic! For those who don't know, Reel Pride is Fresno's LGBT film festival. Nothing like rubbing elbows (literally) at the afterparty with local lawmakers, lemme tell ya! I happened to run into my favorite teacher from community college and had a lovely conversation with him. My greatest fear wa that I would be overdressed for the occasion, but after all the compliments I got on my fifties-esque polka dot dress, my fears were assuaged and my confidence was through the theater's roof.

Finally, two really exciting things: I'm signed-up as a volunteer for the Gavin Newsom 2010 campaign. Yay! Second, my big Internet-endeavor that has been months in the making is finally coming to fruition. It is going to be humorous, political, and local. That's all I'm going to say about it for now.

Okay, I lied, one more thing: I watched ABC's "Eastwick" on Wednesday night and I loved it. Lindsay Price and Rebecca Romijn are great! Paul Gross reminds me of a poor-woman's Julian McMahon, and it's a little unsettling because Julian would be great in the role. "Nip/Tuck" is ending after this season, just in case they want to recast Daryl. I'm just sayin'... Anyway, I don't want to get too attached to the show. All the good one's get cancelled. On the other hand, this show isn't actually very good, (for "good" see: Arrested Development) so maybe I'm worried about nothing.

Keep in touch, pals <3
