{Nanao sees the tiny little kid - about to be pounced on by the meanest damn Skorupi she'd ever seen, and she sprints, throwing herself between the two, bokken-with-a-blade just barely holding the monster at bay}

Run, kid! Get to the Pokemon Centre!

[Adverse effect! Luffy's eyes just start sparkling at the sight of the Skorupi, and just runs around her.]

Hey, thanks! Aipy, use Fury Swipes!

[And the Ambipom immediately sets to work on flailing fists at the thing. Luffy just grins up at the new lady.]

Hey, do you want this one?

{Action}

{Nanao's eyes bug straight out of her head, and she stands there for a good thirty seconds, completely confused.}

Y-you're joking, right.

{Looking down at him}

Uh, no, I have plenty already... {And then ducking like woah because that Yanma was aiming for her neck}

Okay! Then I'm gonna get it! Aipy, finish it off!

[Luffy grins and just has his Ambipom beat it down... and as he begins ruffling in his bag for a pokéball, his eyes roam...]

GIANT SPIDER! Aipy, go get that one next!

[That Skorupi? Temporarily forgotten. There's a Spinarak over there!]

{This kid... He's completely crazy. He's like a kid in a candy store, or a toy shop!}

I guess... I'll have to keep an eye on you, then, won't I.

{That Skorupi isn't happy about being ignored, but a solid thwack! with the bokken-with-a-blade knocks it out}

Hey, kid, that Skorupi is all knocked out, if you wanted it.

[And he was literally about to run off when she flags him down. He grins up at her.]

[Pokeball throwing... blinking... HELL YEAH, SKORUPI! He cheers.]

I GOT A BUUUUG, I GOT A BUUUUG! Now I just gotta get ninety-something more!

[Oh yeah, that spider... he starts looking when he spots a Ledyba.]

OOOOOH! [Chasing down all the bugs! ALL THE BUGS.]

{This kid - his enthusiam was absolutely infectious, and she started grinning too. She couldn't not smile at him}

It's nothing, kid.

{She claps... and punches a Ledyba out of the air. Damned psycho ladybugs.}

Congratulations! ...you really weren't kidding, were you.

{Nanao just chuckles, and jogs after him, swatting bugs out of the air and out of her path. Her pokemon see this, and form up loosely around her and Luffy, making sure that fewer bugs get through, whilst Luffy chases ALL THE BUGS EVER}

[He just stares at her in awe. She just punched a ledyba.]

[But then he grins again.] I love bugs! And I wanna catch all of them!

{Damn straight she punched a Ledyba. And she'll continue thwacking them until they learn to stop trying to kill her. B|}

{Substitute bugs with soul-eating monsters and it's just about there.}

[He runs off after some Spinarak in a tree.]

Well, that settles that, I guess. {And she follows, batting away every other bug that tries to land on her.}

[He pauses from his Spinarak assault to turn around and face her.]

{She smiles, and throws her bokken at a Spinarak that's in mid-leap, hitting straight on.}

What, do you mean the fighting thing? {But she complies, and after picking it up, she takes aim at a Ledyba! ...but that only succeeds in pissing it off, and so she has to leap out of the way of a comet punch.}
