Today at the game, some guys were holding up a sign "Reverse the Curse". I was thinking, "Hey, thats a Red Sox thing". And when I voiced that thought out loud, someone who shall remain nameless decided to get a tad heated about it and argue with me (because she knows everything there is to know about sports, especially baseball). Anyways, she told me it was definitely not a Red Sox thing and that it was used all the time. I was like "Um? How 'bout Babe Ruth?" Anyways, she was very adamant so I stopped pushing. Too bad, the Red Sox are the reason for the phrase (I even looked it up), and if any other sports team uses it, they werent the first.
So there. And I hope the Cardinals beat "your precious" Tigers in the World Series.
Also, thanks for being the first to tell me the Red Sox were out of the playoffs.
