[Kyo is browsing the feed after preparing to head off to Violet City. He doesn't expect to hear the familiar voice that he hasn't heard for nearly a month or see the face that he was so used to seeing every day. He actually drops the gear for a moment and his Meowth looks at him curiously.

She's here. It takes him a few seconds to pick the device back up and fumble with the functions, finally managing to switch on the video.]

A startled squeak was her initial answer as she fumbled herself not to drop her PokéGear. THAT WOULD BE BAD!]

K-KYO-KUN? Did I just hear Kyo-kun?!

[The video picked up on Tohru looking around her frantically, turning where she stood. Chikorita thought it was a game and ran circles around her feet, not that that would show on the feed.]

[An unfamiliar face, though she feels like she's maybe seen her around the school before. Tohru is actually looking at the screen of her Pokégear when Machi spoke, so she didn't need to wonder where the voice came from. Her eyes do widen in surprise though!]
