STEALTHSILVERJENMASSACRE part 4
awww its all good when its hot and sunny - on saturday we had a BBQ and went to the park for a bit. I got a bit sunburnt even tho we didn't go to the park til after the footie!
Sunday was ace, at the Drop in the Ocean festival, saw lots of cool bands including Hellset Orchestra - its shocking they're not signed yet.
Union Station Massacre were on at Trent Uni's union bar. Sean didn't play with them cos they ended up doing a different set to normal (Chris, their old drummer might be coming back but he fell over his cat and messed up his wrist so couldn't drum or play guitar!) and it was gonna be stuff Sean didn't want to do without a bit of practice first so he decided to just watch. But it was all gay cos they are post-rock randomness and they organisers put them in with loads of indie bands so we knew they were gonna stick out like a sore thumb - which is all fine except one of the organisers decided they should stop about 10mins into their set! so don't book at band if you dont think they're gonna fit in!! idiots.
despite that, it was all fun and Si got hideously drunk. we went to the council house to catch some jazz... nice. except that Si was so drunk when we were standing on the balcony bit he was shouting "I wanna like yo ass!" and getting his bum out so we decided to leave before we were made to leave. danger - drunk ginger!
last night i went to the private view of Laura's photography show. it went well and lots people came. mmm free food and booze! aww im so proud of her for managing to organise it all! her work looked ace too.
