ahhh school is almost out finally. the semi-warm days of autumn are finally giving way to the mildly cold days of winter in florida. where is the cold? it is hiding in the bushes behind my house, hestiant to show its face. we were able to see just a glimpse of its power yesterday, and by what i hear, we will see it yet again on saturday. all we can do is hope and pray that the temperature will drop enough so that when we step outside our breath hangs in the air and our poor fingers become icebergs. why do we long for the cold so much? or a better question...why do we live in florida where it never snows and never freezes? it is thought provoking...we must admit. some even feel it neccessary to actually leave florida for the winter, flying north where it actually is cold. then...stay for the blazing heat, the lazy, hazy days of summer?! i think not!! it makes not a trifle of sense to me...*sigh* maybe if all the snowbirds went back where they came from there would be less stress on us year-round residents when the season comes back around. i think we should just ship all the cave-dwellers(the ones that shut themselves up in their one-bedroom apartments with the the a.c. roaring and the tv's blasting)...ship them all up to..lets say..wisconsin...where they're so buried in snow they dont know what to do with themselves! just a few things to think about...the weather..
