Missing the Girls

Blair and Nora are in Connecticut until Wednesday, visiting Jessie and Penelope. As the trip approached, everyone told me that I'd finally be able to sleep a lot, and that's true: yesterday I took a long nap, then went to bed at 11.  But there's only so much sleeping that can be done.  It gets boring after a while.  So now I'm caught up on my sleep and that's that.

Here's what I remember from the Airport Saturday afternoon:
As Blair and Nora went through security, I watched them as long as I could.  I think that after a while, Blair lost track of me, but Nora didn't.  She kept craning her neck toward me and smiling.  FInally, Blair had to move toward the metal detector, and Nora couldn't see me anymore.  That's when Nora started crying.  I could hear her from pretty far away.  The army guy in front on Blair held up the line for a few minutes; he had to keep going through the detector as his paraphernalia kept setting it off.  Eventually, Blair and Nora made it through and were beyond my gaze.  They were one the way to having fun in New England while Daddy was left alone in the ATL.
